BIOGRAPHY
Born in the remains of a great seaside town in 1980, The Cloud Commission was raised on bright lights, vivid colours and just in time to witness the last hoorah of the great British holiday. Memories of being a small boy on a busy beach faded with the paintwork in the theme parks and amusements.
Since then, The Cloud Commission has spent his time sneaking into closed theme parks, documenting airbrush work of nearly Kylies and Terminators with wonky eyes, absorbing a world of bright characters, personified animals and seasonal abandon.
In 1999, he was to leave his native shores and head for the big city where he hooked up with local graffiti writers, illustrators, street artists and other academic ne’er-do-wells. Since then he has been illustrating characters from an imagined and vague childhood all over town, bringing with him the playful optimistic imagery of the great British holiday, turning your street into his theme park.
Today, The Cloud Commission works as an illustrator, product designer, workshop facilitator and general disturber of the peace.
